10 Years Lawful Long Residence Application
You can apply for indefinite leave to remain in the UK based on 10 years lawful residence in the UK at anytime during your whole stay. 20 Years Long Residence Application
The 20 year rule on long residence is contained in Appendix Private Life of the Immigration Rules. Under the 20 year rule, a person does not have to have lived in the UK lawfully, but simply “continuously”. 7 Years Child Residence Application
A child can apply for ILR on the basis of his/her birth in the UK and 7 years continuous residence in the UK. After new immigration rules, a child born and lived in the UK for 7 years can apply for settlement rather than limited leave to remain.
